Imagine waking up just after 06:00 AM in the Munduk highlands on March 9, 2027. As the island of Bali slowly "opens its eyes" after 24 hours of absolute silence—without a single artificial light, engine roar, or puff of smoke—your lungs will fill with the purest, crispest mountain air. The cool morning mist still blankets the lush clove forests. Yet, instead of quietness, the village awakens with profound warmth. Your ears are greeted by the harmony of nature blending with the crackle of burning firewood and the joyful laughter of locals. Along the cobblestone village paths, the golden flames of hundreds of temporary traditional stoves (punapi) dance through the morning twilight. Your journey begins with a flexible pick-up from your hotel or the airport. As you will be staying in the cool highlands for 4 nights, please ensure you bring your full luggage. Enjoy the scenic transition from the lowlands to the mountains, with refreshing stops at the iconic floating Ulun Danu Beratan Temple and the vibrant Candikuning Traditional Market. Upon arriving at your accommodation in the Catur Desa Tamblingan area, the rest of the day is yours to relax and absorb the lush, green serenity.

Sunday, March 7, 2027 - The Eve of Silence & Ogoh-Ogoh Parade

Today is known as Pengerupukan. After a free morning, your local guide will pick you up at 03:00 PM. Dressed in a traditional kamben (sarong) and a dark, modest top, you will blend seamlessly with the villagers. In the evening, you will witness and walk alongside the spectacular Ogoh-Ogoh parade. These giant, fiercely crafted effigies represent mythological demons (Bhuta Kala). The parade, accompanied by the thunderous beats of the Balinese Gamelan and blazing torches, is a sacred ritual to drive away negative energies before the Day of Silence.

Monday, March 8, 2027 - Tapa Brata Penyepian (The Day of Silence)

Welcome to the Saka New Year 1949. From 06:00 AM today until 06:00 AM tomorrow, Bali goes into total spiritual lockdown. You will be respectfully required to stay within your accommodation area. There will be no artificial lighting, no television, and no internet. Your breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be thoughtfully prepared and served with minimal, ambient lighting (such as small lanterns or candles). This is a rare, golden opportunity to disconnect from the modern world, meditate, and experience the profound beauty of absolute silence just as the locals do.

Tuesday, March 9, 2027 - Ngembak Geni & The "Nyakan Diwang" Tradition

Wake up early to catch the first sunrise of the Saka New Year. Just after 06:00 AM, your local guide will take you on a Culture Munduk Trekking experience. You will witness Nyakan Diwang—a unique highland tradition where locals build temporary brick stoves and cook their first meals directly on the street in front of their homes to spiritually cleanse their houses. Walk through the village, interact with the friendly locals, taste their traditional cooking, and enjoy a morning trek leading to one of the region's hidden, pristine waterfalls.

Wednesday, March 10, 2027 - Twin Lakes Panorama & Departure

Enjoy a leisurely morning before checking out at midday. As your driver escorts you back to the airport or your next hotel, you will be treated to a breathtaking bird's-eye view of the Twin Lakes (Lake Buyan and Tamblingan). You will also have the flexibility to choose your preferred scenic route for the drive down, bringing your unforgettable Nyepi adventure to a beautiful close.
